Intra School Speed Basketball and Netball Competition (lunch time)
Students in Year 5 and 6 are invited to join a lunchtime speed basketball competition. Students participate in their House Colours and receive points for their houses for a win. All teams will earn points for overall house trophy (Father Burns Trophy) for participation and based on final finishing positions.
Girls in Year 4 to Year 6 are encouraged to join the SFX netball club so they can develop their skills in the game of netball. Some girls will be selected to participate in the QC netball carnival in May and then all teams will participate in an afternoon of netball. Students will learn about the rules and tactics of the game as well as developing skills and fitness.
The St Francis Xavier Health Club begins with students joining in the fun as part of our cross-country running festival. This Club is open to all students and will focus this term on Cross Country Running Training. Those students in the 12-9 years age group who are wanting to compete in the age championship events will be expected to attend these club sessions.
A roll will be taken for each session as each student that attends will earn a point for their house going towards the Mrs Trish Passfield Memorial Trophy.
HEALTH CLUB DAYS /Cross Country Training
All students coming to the morning sessions may wear another set of clothes and bring school uniform to change into. Students are to wait outside the hall in the usual position in the morning and wait for a teacher to come and collect them.
League All Stars Program
An outside agency who will provide students rugby fitness and fun for students from Prep to Year 6 beginning Tuesday 27th February. There is a $69 cost for parents to pay directly to the provider.
SFX Cricket Club
Students in Years 4-6 are able to improve their cricket skills in participating in weekly training sessions. Sessions begin in week 7 and conclude in week 10.
